Alexandra is a tertiary character of a short film I’ve been developing for the past seven months. After the concept sketch, she was sculpted in Blender, then brought into Maya for retopology, texturing, grooming, and rigging. She was rendered using Arnold. She is the daughter of my two other characters, Harold and Bianca, and I worked on giving her some physical features of both, though she mostly resembles her mother. When Harold sees her near the end of the film, she is a beautiful reminder of his wife. Below are some images that showcase the process of developing Alexandra.
(In early development, Alexandra was going to be wearing scrubs, the story being that she was late working a shift at the hospital, but that idea was scrapped. I wanted the viewer to know immediately that she was his daughter, not his live-in-nurse)
