The film takes place in an Italian restaurant and features an elderly man who is sitting alone at a table. A song begins to play on the record player, and the song sparks memories for the old man and saddens him, reminding him of his recently deceased wife. Suddenly, the lights dim and the spirit of his wife arrives and sits next to him and they look into each other’s eyes. The fantasy is cut short as the man and woman’s daughter arrives and sits with her father. She is there to support him and to honor her mother. The film ends with the father and daughter eating together as the spirit of the mother is seated across from them. The phrase “Non Dimenticare” means Do not forget.
